Victory Brewing is offering a special Harvest Beer Dinner for all to attend! The special event will be taking place on October 10, 2013 from 6:00PM-9:00PM at there Downingtown location.   • Amuse bouche- Pickled Baby Beet, Truffled Cauliflower , Candied Walnut
  • 1st Course- Puree of Seasonal Squash, Nutmeg Crème Fraiche, Brown Butter, Fried Sage. Paired with Red Thunder.
  • 2nd Course- Housemade Duck Confit, Fresh Cranberry Compote, Salad of Baby Frisée. Paired with Zeltbier. 
  • 3rd Course- Pan Roasted Atlantic Cod, Kennett Square Mushrooms, Fine Herbs Butter Sauce. Paired with Braumeister Pils.
  • Intermezzo- Granny Smith  Apple Sorbet
  • 4th Course- Brined Pork Tenderloin, Herb Spaetzle, Glazed Brussel Sprouts, Mustard Cream. Paired with Dirt Wolf.

88th Annual Unionville Community Fair

The 88th Annual Unionville Community Fair will be taking place this weekend. The Fair showcases the largest display of community and agricultural products in Chester County. It will take place on the grounds behind Landhope Farms at the intersection of Routes 82 & 926 in Kennett Square, PA. Come by and see the more than 3,000 contest exhibits submitted by community residents, enjoy delicious treats from a variety of food vendors, listen to live music on the outdoor stage, become a “Farmer For a Day”, laugh through the Lip Sync and Look Like Your Pet Contests, experience the grandeur of a First Rate Horse Show Sunday at 10:00am, and enjoy many other family friendly events and exhibits like a travelling petting zoo and pumpkin stacking contests! The 28th Annual Kennett Square Mushroom Festival

The 28th Annual Kennett Square Mushroom Festival is quickly approaching! The event will begin on September 7th and continue through Sunday, September 8th. There will be plenty of fun and fungi for the whole family to enjoy! Some of the events include, the Grower’s Exhibit, Mushroom Farm Tours, the Culinary Tent, music on the Community Stage, live performances on the Children’s Stage, plus hundreds of vendors will all be apart of the annual celebration of the mushroom.

Admission will be $2 per person (ages 12 and up). Proceeds from the sale of the admission wristbands goes toward the Mushroom Festival’s grant program. Last year the Mushroom Festival gave $55,000 to 33 non-profit organizations (click here to learn more). Wristbands may be purchased in advance at The Mushroom Cap (114 West State Street,Kennett Square), at the Mushroom Festival parking lots (while waiting for the shuttle buses) or at the entrances to the Festival. 2013 Brandywine Folk Festival

The 2013 Brandywine Folk Festival will be taking place August 23th-25th at Anson B. Nixon Park in Kennett Square! The event will feature over 30 national and international acts, dozens of vendors, beer-gardens, and games/activities for kids. The 24th Annual Kennett Run

The 24th Annual Kennett Run will be taking place this Saturday, May 18, 2013! The Kennett Run Charities was established in 1989 with the purpose of promoting the general well being and civic betterment of Kennett area residents, organizations and projects. Since its inception $430,963 has been gifted to the community and $73,348 has been donated for park and trail work.

The Kennett Run offers something for all ages and abilities ranging from a 1 mile fun walk to a 10K Power Run and everything in between. The race is staffed by wonderful volunteers followed by a big party in the park for all racers and families. Food, drinks and entertainment all provided by local businesses and sponsors, celebrating the strength of community and family in Kennett Square. The annual Willowdale Steeplechase is a family-friendly event enjoyed by over 10,000 spectators who spend a casual yet sophisticated day in Chester County’s horse country. The Willowdale Steeplechase is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization based in Kennett Square, PA that hosts a day of world-class steeplechase racing for the benefit of the following charities: The Stroud Water Research Center, The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine New Bolton Center and Quest Therapeutic Services, Inc.
