I came across this article this morning via WikiLeaks and I found it very interesting because it is thought that bin Laden’s body was brought to our neighboring state of Delaware, check out the full article below.

Fred Burton, vice president for intelligence at Stratfor, wrote to a colleague at 5.51am on May 2, the day the al-Qaeda leader was killed, saying: “Body bound for Dover, DE on CIA plane. Than [sic] onward to the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Bethesda.” An earlier email from Burton to colleagues stated: “Reportedly, we took the body with us. Thank goodness.”

However, in his last communication on the subject with George Friedman, Stratfor’s chief executive, at 3.10pm, Mr Burton wrote: “: “Down and dirty done, He already sleeps with the fish…”

The email was among a trove of five million messages hacked from the firm’s servers by the Anonymous group and placed on the Internet by WikiLeaks. Mr Burton had boasted in other emails about his “trusted former CIA cronies” and promised to glean information about a classified FBI investigation. Before joining Stratfor he was deputy chief of the counter-terrorism division in the state department’s diplomatic security service.

The US government said that bin Laden was buried at sea after he was killed during the raid on his safe house in Pakistan. The emails could revive the debate about what happened to bin Laden’s body and whether or not burying him at sea, without providing an image for the world to see, was the right decision.

The New American magazine wrote: “Secrecy prior to the raid is understandable; a refusal to produce the key piece of evidence that the raid was successful, on the other hand, is quite curious indeed.”
