Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick’s Day is a religious holiday celebrated all over the world on the 17th of March. St Patrick is the most commonly recognized of all the patron saints of Ireland.  The day is generally celebrated by attending church services, wearing green attire and lots of shamrocks. On St Patrick’s Day, we lift all Lenten restrictions of fasting and drinking, which is often proscribed during the rest of the season.  A fun fact of St Patrick’s Day is originally, the color associated with Saint Patrick was blue. Then over the years the color green and its association with Saint Patrick’s day grew. Green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick’s Day as early as the 17th century. Happy St Patrick’s Day from everyone at Kimberley Vassal Insurance Services and please let us know what your traditions are on St Patrick’s Day.
