Wing Bowl 19 took place this morning at the Wells Fargo Center. There was a sellout crowd on hand to see a record 26 participants. Among the favorites were El Wingador and Super Squib. Jonathan ‘Super’ Squib set a new Wing Bowl record today, taking down an astonishing 255 wings in what may be the world’s least healthy competition. He ate 255 wings in only 30 minutes which is broken into two 14 minute periods followed by a final 2 minute round. Jonathan ‘Super’ Squib won a new pick-up truck and $20,000 cash. During half time of the Wing Bowl the Japanese superstar Kobayashi ate a Philly Cheese Steak in 24 seconds and then declared his intention to participate in the Wing Bowl next year.
