Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Today we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  It is observed on the third Monday of January of each year, which is around the time of King’s birthday, January 15.  The first MLK day was celebrated on January 20, 1986.  On this day, we celebrate the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr., an influential American civil rights leader. He is most well-known for his campaigns to end racial segregation on public transportation and for racial equality in the United States.  Watch his “I have a Dream” speech here!
