Today we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It is observed on the third Monday of January of each year, which is around the time of King’s birthday, January 15. The first MLK day was celebrated on January 20, 1986. On this day, we celebrate the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr., an influential American civil rights leader.
