Today marks the eighth year anniversary since the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America. The 9/11 attacks are being remembered today with a variety of observances and events throughout the country. For example In New York, “Lower Manhattan fell silent at 8.46am this morning, the moment when eight years ago the first jet crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Centre. Ground Zero, still a construction site after so long, was filled with victims’ relatives and volunteers.” Today is a day of remembrance for those who have passed away during this senseless act of violence.
